WebCite, http://www.webcitation.org/ is a service for archiving webpages on demand. It was initiated by Gunther Eysenbach in 1997.
Unfortunately is is quit often down due to high server load especially since Wikipedia tried to automatically create WebCite archives for all of their references to web sources.
