WebCite, http://www.webcitation.org/ is a service for archiving webpages on demand. It was initiated by [ Gunther Eysenbach] in 1997.
Unfortunately is is quit often down due to high server load especially since Wikipedia tried to automatically create WebCite archives for all of their references to web sources.
