Melamin resin

Melamin-resin could be used as an alternative to PEG for wood preservation. Like PEG, the method requires a lot of time to fulfill. In opposite to PEG it is an irreversible process. If done carefully the new skeleton of hardened resin in the cell-walls is invisible also under microscope (wich is not the case with PEG). A radiocarbon dating analyze of course can not be done on Melanin-resin preserved wood.[1]
