How to see the year number of a certain ring

In response to a request from Igor Drobyshev, there is now a mechanism which makes it possible to see the corresponding year number for a certain ring.
This is useful when you know of some pointer years - known to be related to very thin or very wide rings - and you want to see which rings they correspond to in your measurements on the screen.
This is a way to check for errors.
As shown on the picture below, the year number is shown for ring 0 and for that point which has been selected with the 'Select a point (S)' tool

There is now still a new version where every 10th year number is automatically plotted.
